Troubleshooting

My computer won’t recognize the hard drive, and no drive letter appears?

  • If the hard disk indicator is green, go to Windows Disk Management to initialize the hard drives, or use the MAC disk utility to erase the external device;

Not working on a computer with a Thunderbolt 2 interface?

  • Only use the Thunderbolt 3 to Thunderbolt 2 adapter provided by Apple. Any other adapters will not work;

  • The cable connecting the computer to this device must be a certified Thunderbolt 2 cable.

RAID Manager Pro cannot recognize the hard drive?

  • Install the RAID controller driver;

  • Select a recommended hard drive from the list of compatible drives.

RAID controller connection failure?

  • Install the RAID controller driver;

  • Do not connect to USB Type-C interface.

Failed to create a RAID?

After the RAID is created, if the hard drive indicators flash red and the computer fails to recognize the hard drives, the RAID has not been created successfully. The following steps should thus be taken:

  • Delete the incomplete RAID in the RAID Manager Pro menu;

  • Select "Logical", then select "Create Array";

  • Select "Array Type", then select "Quick Init" as the initialization method. Select the drives and click "Create";

  • Try to initialize the new RAID in Windows Disk Management, or in Mac Disk Utility.
