If the HDD of TDAS device sleeps periodically during use, it will take a long time to wake up the hard disk again when storing data. In this case:
For Windows, go to "Control Panel" > "Power Options" > "Change Plan Settings" > "Change Advanced Power Settings" > "Hard Disk". Then select "0" in "Turn off hard disk after" > “Setting (Minutes)”.
For macOS, go to "System Preferences" > "Battery (Power Adapters/Energy Saver)". Then uncheck "Put hard disks to sleep when possible " and set "Turn display off after this time period" to "Never".
