How can I remotely access a TNAS device mounted under a secondary router?

If your TNAS device is mounted under a secondary or multi-stage router, the subnet address of each stage of the router is different, leading to the failure to recognize the TNAS address and denying users remote access. To enable remote access to your TNAS device, your router needs to be reset, which can be done in the following way:

  • 1. Set your primary router: Find the DMZ option in the settings menu of the primary router to enable it, enter the IP address of the secondary router in the address bar, and then click “Save”.

  • 2. Set your secondary router: Find the DMZ option in the settings menu of the secondary router to enable it, enter the IP address of TNAS in the address bar, and then click “Save”.
