How can Windows users access TNAS shared folders?
Windows users can access TNAS shared folders in the following ways:
1. The TNAS PC desktop application: Click “File Manager” and enter the username and password to access TNAS shared folders. You can log in as an administrator (admin) or another user.
2. The TNAS PC desktop application (alternative method): Click “Map Network Drive” and enter the username and password to access TNAS shared folders. For easy access in the future, a network drive can be added to your computer.
3: The IP address: Double-click “My Computer” on the desktop, directly enter the IP address of the TNAS device in the address bar (e.g., \\192.168.1.100), and then enter the username and password to access TNAS shared folders. The IP address of the TNAS device can be obtained through the TNAS PC desktop application.
4: A shortcut: For easy access, users can create a shortcut for TNAS shared folders. The steps to take are as follows: right-click in an empty area on the desktop, select “New” > “Shortcut” and enter the IP address of the TNAS device in the pop-up menu (e.g., \\192.168.1.100) to complete the creation of the shortcut. You then just have to double-click the shortcut on the desktop and enter the username and password to access TNAS shared folders.
