The hard drive of my D5-300 is suddenly inaccessible. Is the data lost?

Probably not. Follow these steps to attempt recovery:

  • 1. Turn off the device and reinstall the hard drive, making sure it is firmly in place. Then turn on both your computer and the device after making sure they are connected to each other to see if the hard drive is recognised so that the data on the hard drive can be read.

  • 2. Replace all the hard drives with new ones after shutting down the device and see if these new hard drives are recognised by the RAID Manager. If not, there is a problem with the model D5-300 itself, so the data on the hard drive should be fine, and you need only replace the D5-300; if so, this suggests that there is a problem with the old hard drive, and you will need to go to a professional data recovery provider for data recovery.
