How do I set up a RAID for the D2-310/D4-310/D5-300C?

The device defaults to single-disk mode. To create a RAID, connect the device to your computer and turn both the device and computer on. Then turn the RAID switch on the back of the device to the RAID mode you require and press and hold "Reset" for 5 seconds to enable the new RAID mode. A new disk with no partition will appear in the "Computer Disk Management" list, allowing you to initialise and format it ready for use.
